Leonard Dolins brings over 65 years of accounting experience and is the namesake and co-founder of The Dolins Group, which he launched with his son Steve in 1993. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Leonard began his career in 1961 and built his practice on strong client relationships and deep expertise in federal and state income taxes.
Known for his client-first approach rooted in listening, honesty, and communication, Leonard has spent decades helping clients navigate complex tax matters. In the early 1990s, he successfully resolved a challenging IRS audit that reduced a $3 million assessment to zero and uncovered an overpayment.
Leonard now lives in Sun Lakes, Arizona, and remains connected to the firm’s culture and community. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, card games, Rummikub, and cheering for the Chicago Cubs.
