Joshua Swedlow grew up in Deerfield, IL and went to Deerfield High School, graduating in 1997. Joshua Swedlow received a Bachelor’s of Arts in English Literature with an emphasis in Creative Writing from Florida Atlantic University, starting at The University of Wisconsin-Madison and then transferring to Florida to complete the degree in 2002. He received a second Bachelor’s degree, a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting, some years later from Northeastern Illinois University, graduating in the summer of 2015.
His first tax job was an internship for GE Capital in their corporate tax department in 2013 and since then has worked mainly in the areas of personal and corporate taxation. He is currently studying for the CPA exam and on his way to achieving a Master’s of Science in Taxation at Northern Illinois University.
On a personal note, he recently got engaged and, in his spare time, loves to screen films and see live music with his friends and he collects rare American coins.
